Super M Leaking coolant between cylinders

Might be acquiring a Super M that had a leak between cylinder 3-4, the owner says he had the pan off and seen the leak coming around the sleeve, so sent it off for an overhaul. Supposedly the engine was overhauled, crank grind an all, but it is still leaking coolant into the oil. The head was supposedly all rebuilt at machine shop and checked out good, and says it runs better than ever, but just leaks coolant still. Question is, was there any issues with the block cracking between the cylinders by chance?

If the cast iron "native" bore in the block is cracked, the coolant will leak between the (supposedly) dry sleeve and the crank
case. The fix (unless cracked into the crankcase from above) is to have the native cylinder material bored out thin and a repair
sleeve pressed in. Then that is bored to accept the real sleeve, matching the other 3. It is not radically expensive. The other
option is to get a different block, and put all the new components in it. Jim

Well got it home, its a 53 louisville stage II, and we definitely have a problem. Cracked the drain plug before firing it up to drain some water out (45 minute adventure, bad condensor). Oil was already milky, drove it about 2 miles to the shop and got the oil out. Will have to tear it down and see what is what.
