Stanhoist. Loader

Does anyone know the model number of the older Stanhoist loaders that fit Farmall M and H tractors.they have a pipe frame and were common on the Farmall m? They have an arch to clear a wide front axle. Thanks in advance.

Not sure they even had a model number but the one on the '51 M out in the shop has weld patches on top of patches on top of patches. Weakest spot seems to be the pipe runnning from arm to arm right behind the bucket the trip latch was mounted on. Next weakest spot is the top pipe right in front of the plates welded to the two pipes the cylinders pin onto. I still have the 40 inch manure bucket with dirt plate and the 80 in materials/snow bucket.

Dad bought the StanHoist about 1960 to replace the old Caswell loader with the BIG vertical cylinder mounted right in front of the grill and the crossed lifting chains over the two pulleys on top of the cylinder's piston rod. The StanHoist couldn't lift much, so Dad had the M&W live hyd pump installed on the M. Was better but still had problems pulling fence posts, etc. The live 2-way was nice for driving steel posts. Year and a half ago SON and I loaded up about 400 cubic yards of tree limbs, HUGE pile in the corner of our yard, about 20 ft by 40 ft and 12-14 feet high. The M and Stan-Hoist loader loaded the 10,000# dump trailer in about 10 minutes every load. The Char-Lynn power steering was nice. I used to wish for snow every weekend all winter from about 1964 on so I could scrape up every shovel full of snow and pile it up in Mountains in the corner of the barnyard.

I have one on my 51 jd A and one on my 41 farmall H I like them. sum don't. like the DR guy says thay do have there week points. all the paper work ive found says there called MAIN LINE loader. hope you have good luck wirh it. Bob

As the 'doc' says,Not sure there was a model number. It was probably sold as a 'Manure loader',or a 'Farm Loader' or similar.

Those loaders would fit almost any farm tractor.
My dad bought a new one and put it on an Oliver 88. I never saw a model number.
The Ollie's hydraulics were enough to make the loader work and that's all.
It was a decent snow mover with the big bucket.

This my 400 LP with the Stan-Hoist with hydraulic bucket. Dad bought the tractor back in 1969. The bucket has been replaced once, as my younger brother was driving down a gravel road with it and hit the bucket control lever the wrong way. The bucket hit the crown of the road and it ended up looking like a taco shell. Dad wasn't happy about it but glad no body got hurt. With this set up the loaded is the weak link, so the tractor will survive, the loader not so much!
