Were any of the 56 series gold demonstrators, or did they not show up until the 66 series.

There were 1456 Gold Demonstrators and i think 1026, Demos

GOLD DEMOS were only built in 1970 and were only built as 544, 656, 826, 1026 and 1456. If you see any 756, 856 or 1256 GOLD DEMO anywhere, it is not a correct GOLD DEMO. Those 3 models were never made gold by IH.

The gold demos were as follows 544 and 656 hydro only, 1026 hydro, 1456 gear drive, only the 826 had a choice of transmissions. Tractors had to be a mid 1970 year production.

I saw those tractors at red power several years ago. Several of them are replicas not true gold demos. They aren't not even painted close to the correct color.
