Pictures would be a good thing.
I knew a guy that had put a 354 Perkins in a Ford F250 to pull his travel trailer.
A 354 Perkins seems to make almost anything better.

The 354 was good in its day, but there are many better/new/easier to get parts for engines out there.

That being said with enough time and effort you can put what ever you want in your 560.

Probably the easiest engine swap would be another IH engine. A DT360 would probably be the easiest to obtain and install, I believe you can reuse the 560 back plate, but you’ll need to acquire the correct front cover.

I've seen pictures of a 560 that had a Nuess D310 or maybe it was D358 installed. All factory parts,
looked nice, like it belonged there.
