A Farmall 450 LP is coming up for sale, it has a wide front and the fast hitch, seems to be in good average condition, does anyone have any idea on the value?

Anywhere from $2000 to $8000. Don't know what the tractor looks like. Don't know what your idea of "average" is with relation to mine. Don't know how it runs or drives. The condition of the tires is a huge consideration as well.

It will bring a 'fair' value. Depends upon who is at the sale. Just pay what it takes to buy.whatever you can afford.Dont go with the idea of 'stealing' it.wont happen. As was said "condition" means everything,as well as tires.Your local area is also a factor. Some areas propane tractors are popular, they command higher prices. That 450 is also a 'collectable'.Other areas, you cant give a propane tractor away. You want it bad, just "bow your neck and buy it". He who says "I don't want to pay too much" usually comes home empty handed.

I have no means of refueling a propane tractor, so the tractor would have to be cheap enough to allow me to convert it to gasoline.

Like everyone else had said, depends on the condition of the sheet metal, tires, are there any leaks on the frame and engine? I bought a 450 LP sight unseen over in Craig, Colorado a few years ago. It needs rear tires, and some work, but it does run pretty well. Sheet metal on it is flawless, aside from one crease on the right hand side of the hood. It did have a loader on it, but it also has a grille guard on it, too.
