Shipping Exhaust lift parts

What shipping company is best to ship 2 exhaust lift cylinders and some other exhaust parts from Road Island to Kansas? The exhaust cylinders are the largest pieces that will be shipped.
 
It all comes down to size and weight. Get them all boxed up weigh them and then go to a web site to calculate charge. FedEx and UPS both have online shipping calculators.
 
Some folks have used Fastenal store-to-store freight for larger/heavier tractor parts, if they have stores in the areas you are concerned with.

Search Fastenal logistics. You can get a quote online. They have pretty quick response and are good to deal with. I have used them several times for rims and engines.
 
It comes down to what’s available on both ends as far as 3rd party logistics go. We have used Fastenal with great success on countless items. If Fastenal doesn’t have a convenient location for the receiver then look into some of the other shipping companies, most of them will do a depot to depot ship at a reduced rate just like Fastenal does, I used roadway express once like that because it was convenient for the shipper and myself, was very responsible.
 
Up to 150lbs, Fedex and UPS are comparable as far as service times and rates. Local package handling quality can vary from company to company, as evidenced by threads you'll see on this board from time to time. Some people have great luck with Fedex or UPS, others can't seem to get an anvil delivered by one or the other without it being damaged/broken.

You might want to check with the receiver to see if they have issues with one or the other.
