15-30 fuel tanks

I saw a 15-30 today that had the little round gas tank like the regulars did and also two other tanks ahead of it under the hood. What was the third tank for? The guy that owned it said it was for water. I know John Deere used water from the block to mix in the carb when running distal late Did IH use a separate tank for the same purpose? Thanks, Mark

The 15-30 and 22-36 both had the tank for water to ward off knocking, kerosene as the main fuel and a starting tank for gasoline. The early kerosene Titan 10-20 also used water to the carburetor to prevent knocking.
