Hey guys I would like to fix this hood my self not the greatest welder but I can get buy need some ideas how to fix this hole it was like that when I bought the tractor it's a Farmall C Thanks for ideas

i would cut the hole a little bigger to get rid of the rough edges, then get some sheet metal the same thickness , trace out a circle on the new piece and put it in the hole , weld, grind , fill with bondo., sand . paint hood . DONE
 

My M was similar to that when I bought it. I shaped a length of #9 wire into the correct diameter and wire welded it in to the existing hole. Some auto-body filler made it look good enough for me. It has held up nicely for many years now.

Of course the 100% correct method would be to cut out a large piece of the damaged area, weld in a new piece of sheet metal, and then cut a new hole.
 
That might be a little worse than my Super M was, mine was damaged all the way around plus the muffler clamp wore two slots through. I didn't want to weld it and didn't want to pay anybody so I screwed a board to the back and trimmed it with a hole saw.
