560 hydraulic going on high pressure.

Sorry for being long.So I ended up changing the pumps in both tractors(I have 2) the Diesel converted to gas operates OK but every so often it goes on high pressure. I have tried moving the double to single shafts on the valves with no success. Parked it again. The original gas tractor if you started it after a minute when oil pressure came up it would stall the engine with high pressure. I took the flow control off to clean it and found the spring in about four pieces. It must have had the broken parts drop in between the open coil parts. I am not sure if that is true. What I understand is there would not be spring pressure against the valve so why the high pressure? Cleaned up some rust through out the valve. The pistons move freely and the plunger and the balls move easily also. Took the orifice out and it did not seem to be plugged but the screen is collapsed and there is a small hole in it by the threaded part.I need to get a smaller drill to check but .031 welding wire went through. Not sure how important the screen is or if I can fix it. What do you think I should do, buy another valve or fix what I have? I am not sure how much 303 is still in it from flushing so I may have a mixture of oils with the 303 being heavier. Bought a hydraulic book for it but there is no trouble shooting in it, just how it is built and generic cleaning information. Still works in progress, I can't hardly wait for more warm weather.

The collapsed screen is one cause of being "on demand" the mix of too thick oils is another, and the orifice can be drilled to .040" to make it better. Jim

Like JIm was sayen and also Dirt can cause this , also scoring of the pressure relief can cause this small pieces of metal getting into the valve can do this , a out of adjustment fast hitch can cause this the teledepth valve can cause this , a sheared roll pin in the teledepth linkage can cause this . Grab a beer and start looking and have a couple more while reading the BOOK on the system .I still have to Read the book .
