How rare is it revisited Farmall H TA

There never was a Super H TA but there were experimental H TA's . Supposedly 4 of them and in 1954 shortly before the hundred series came out. Never intended for release because of only months away from being a 300.

Zoom in on that tag it says 4-11-52. The H was used because SH was just being introduced. The development and implementation was put in place in the 300 because the pictured device was a two clutch device and not really close to the eventual product. Jim
 
It was probably going to be too trouble free, i am serious, they use the parts to generate a lot of revenue for the company!
 
Well it's my opinion only, but they could sell every super H they made, they could use a H, and get the same results as a Super !
 
Our family farm area had pretty high Farmall-IH popularity. We had one TA go out among 15 or so tractors around. It was abused by a hired hand. Out 350U still has its original clutch and TA. It was used hard through the mid 70s and still does bush hogging and utility work. One engine in frame, probably 8000 hrs. Jim
 
Yeah, 1954 would be a little late for that to be happening. The 300 was introduced in late 1954, so there would be no time to completely redesign the TA system. Back in those days, I can't imagine them wanting a design to be finalized any less than a year, maybe two, before production starts. Remember they didn't have CAD and CNC manufacturing back then. It was pencil on vellum, slide rules, and guys standing behind lathes and mills trying to figure out how to make all this stuff.
 
I read in red power magazine years ago, guy Fay, wrote a real nice article on the Super H-TA, the H-Ta used a automatic shift that was run off the engines vacuum.. Real neat write up..
