I have been offered a SuperM-TA. Seems decent shape with brand new rear tires. It appears to be stuck however. Fan will not move at all. I put it in gear and tried to rock the tractor with absolutely NO movement. I did not want to hook on and pull it. Don't want to damage anything. Would you concur stuck engine? Should I try something else. Thank you

Probably a stuck engine.Pull the spark plugs, see if they are rusty. But could also be stuck in two gears at once. Jack up a rear wheel.,Depress clutch and try to turn one wheel. If wheel wont turn,is stuck in gear.

Besides stuck in 2 gears could be starter locked up too. Do you know how long its been since it last run?

Probably not the case, but I once had an alternator locked up ,sure was a pleasant surprise to see that was all that was locked up.

Rocking by hand not as effective on one with good T/A. If trying to turn fan both directions have T/A lever pulled back and main clutch pedal pushed down. If adjusted correct the main clutch pedal will release both though unless a clutch is stuck. With main clutch released it shouldn't mater if stuck in to gears, brake stuck or ice inside. If ice freezes around the lower PTO drive gear it will lock engine from turning even if in neutral or clutch released. On left side of clutch housing find 1/2 inch pipe plug and remove. Put something in hole to feel for ice in lower part. Most times you can see ice crystals just looking in. Run into this before when looking at tractors in winter.

I tend to agree with you but my philosophy is to eliminate the free stuff first. It wouldn't be fun to tear down a tractor to find out the starter was the issue or locked into 2 gears.

I am not sure. It has been stored inside. I looked in radiator and could see no fluid above core. Tranny does go in and out of all gears without clutch pushed in. It does have a hollow sound when going into gear (like maybe low on fluid or no fluid). Clutch can be pushed in and released without any issue. It does have engine oil in motor although very black and thick. I did notice there is a cork plug in front of tractor where crank would go in. Will try to remove starter and see if that helps.

I ran into it as well. I dumped a couple bottles of Heet into the rear end fill hole and it did thaw things out enough to drag it onto the trailer.
