More Horsepower

I need a little help... I'm pulling a 1941 Farmall M, I have a turbo on it and i was wondering if there is anything else i could do to get more horsepower?[/b]

The old boy I started to work with in 76 his name Willy he
show me make a m and sm and 400 and 450 run we install
m&w pistons and liners lp Head he drill Governors weights
with 3/8 drill Bit new gov spring on the carb he would used a
806 venture and main Jet take the muffler and knock the
baffles out of muffler or a straight pipe we did things to 460
and 560?s same on 656?s

With a turbo I think it would make more HP using the low compression distilate head and pistons. Leaves more volume for fuel mixture and compression pressure would still be good.

it all comes down to how much you want to spend and what are the limits to the rules. since you already have a turbo, I would build an intercooler. a small intercooler and an ice box with a 12v pump to circulate the chilled water.

Another option is to change fuel. I know I will catch some grief for this but, get another carb and build it to run E85. It has an octane rating of 105-110. it will drink about twice as much fuel, but you can throw a lot more boost at it and will lower your EGT on your turbo.

Just my two cents for more power with what you already have

There is alot you could do. Areas where power can be made.
1. Convert the entire valvetrain to roller
2. Custom grind a cam for the motor
3. Fuel inject the motor and work on injector placement onto the back of the intake valve.
4. Port and polish the head
5. Lighten the rotating assembly
6. Intercool your existing turbo setup

There is alot you can do, just depends on how deep your wallet it.
