I?m building a 460 farmall for pulling tractor.... deleted hyd pump put in hy capacity ta.... my question is if I plug oil galleys in ta housing where hytrans runs back to transmission will the housing hold the oil or will it escape out the back side of the ta back into trans? Any help is appreciated

Oil will oil the TA just picture TA at everything back together delete the plate I don?t hydraulic pump and fill it like it supposed toAdd a little extra oil it will lube

I?m not really following you here is there is no pump to supply oil to the ta how would it get up there?

Hydraulic pump is not oil the TA it has a cavity in the rear TA cover and is this place fared through the ports on the clutch side

Well, not really following your question or the answer given. There is no oil supplied to any part of the TA by the hydraulic pump or any other oil pump. It is merely slung up by the gears and run down a trough . If you mean plugging all oil drains and inlets between the rear section and clutch housing, the oil will still escape through the rear of the planetary gear transmission input shaft so planetary would run dry in short order.

But, no need to plug anything. Just put a plate where hydraulic pump was mounted and good to go. Also, realize the return from hydraulics does lubricate differential and bull pinions but for low run time pulling that would not be a problem.
