which 282 is the better one

Dieseltech, or whoever ,which way is the best way for those sleeve's to be held in the block, i never owned or worked on one, and which way did the wrist pins get bigger , or smaller the more they built?
 
The very first diesels used the smaller gas sized wrist pins in 1958, think it was 1959 when diesel pin size was increased. SN 71778 and up blocks used the heavy press fit cylinder sleeves, early engines used hand slip fit sleeves. Early sleeves had a wide flange the head gasket sealed and held down the sleeves. Heavy press/puller equipment is needed to remove/install the late sleeve. My 560 has the late block as it had an IH short block installed years ago.
