656 spark plug wires

A couple of weeks ago I posted about calves chewing the plug wires off my 656 and I needed to figure out the correct sequence from the distributor. Thanks for the replies. Went to put the new wires on yesterday and discovered the distributer cap is numbered in the right sequence. Keeps even an amateur like me from screwing up.

Good to hear you got it going!

Lucky it wasn't a modern aftermarket cap 'cause it wouldn't have been numbered, and, likely wouldn't have even fit right!

Hopefully you got true wire plug wires not the carbon wire made for cars and truck because if you did not get wire plug wires you will be replacing them soon

Ah yep sure is , just stuff them in the cap and place them on the correct plug your good to go . Now i will add this , when ever you install new points and cond. Check the ing timing and set at the proper advance for your tractor also make sure that the centrifugal advance is working in the dist.
