Farmall Super C with Woods 306 mower

Recently we purchased a Farmall super c with a woods mower. Noticed the belt was not the best when we got it. Tried it and went about 10 feet and belt came off. Someone rigged up the rear pulleys for the belt with a homemade bracket. I?ve tried 4 different belts from Caseih dealer. All are either too long or too short. I want to replace the pulleys and the bracket in the back with the right ones. Anyone know where I can find these or have them laying around they want to get rid of? Thanks for your help

You will need to find a Woods dealer. Also, that belt has a specific way to be installed. If it is not correct, it will NOT stay on.

Yes I have the diagram on the mower for the belt routing. I just need
to get the correct bracket and pulleys and then I will get the correct
belt. Just looking for some guidance on what the bracket and pulleys
look like I guess so I can find them.

Check woods site, manuals were on line at one time, position of spindle pulleys is important. The one I had to use had problems and I found some one had installed the pulleys even, not staggered as is called for. It would throw the belt and stretch one side or break cords and then you could not keep it on regardless of what you tried. Also correct position of rear idler pulleys is required to be as the book calls for or problems will arise. This is from BTDT. Leroy

I have a Farmall 140 with a Woods 306L belly mower that I obtained about 10 years or so ago. It was missing some correct or damaged belt drive items and my local Woods dealership was able to obtain new brackets and such directly from Woods which corrected the issues I had with my mower. I believe you can also contact a technical rep at Woods by phone who can probably tell you exactly what items you need and should have on your deck to be compatible with your Super C tractor as well. When I needed a belt I just found the Woods part no. on the old belt and ordered a new one through my Woods dealer. Once you know the Woods part no. for the correct belt for your mower and tractor combination they can also be found aftermarket on eBay if you are looking for a replacement one which is most likely somewhat cheaper if you find one from Woods is too expensive. One thing I did observe with those listed on eBay even though identified as being the correct replacement for my original Woods belt they were sometimes a different length then the actual Woods belt so some caution is advised if purchasing one in that manner, Hal.

The original belt DOES have a number on it. Takes a bright light and good eyes to see it, and then you may need to rub some white chalk on it. I have a brand new belt for the L306 that is on my H.

later mounts for the C series are different they drive from the belt pulley instead of the PTO shaft so which drive do you have. I have the idlers for the later mount which drives from the belt pulley.

Here is a link to Messick's web page for Woods L306U mower parts. If you click on the "Mounting Assembly" it has a parts breakdown for the parts you might need.

We have a similar setup on a C, it used a b 225 that I ordered online. I was able to download and print an owners manual online too, it shows every part and how to run the belt. There is a lot of adjustment so belts a little longer or shorter will work too.
