Does Anyone here IHC Tractor Farming Magazine

He is talking about a publication from IH, the actual title was "Tractor Farming".

I have a few copies, have never tried to collect them.

I am talking about the magazine that was published bi monthly by the International Harvester Company/ McCormick-Deering They started publishing them in 1919 as Tractor Farming Magazine then in the late 50 or early 60 became the: IH Farm Magazine and then in the late 70's IH Farm Forum and I beleive that how Case IH Publishes today.
I have a Nov.-Dec. of 1919 and many in the 20's and most of the 30's but very few from 1941 to 1947 you just don't find or see them any where is this because of the war...were they not published or were they used for TP or something because of the war? I have almost all the 50's,60's, and first half of the 70's, then his and miss too 2010, I also a few Canadain issues from the 50's and 2 from UK/England in 2013.
So I am wondering if any one here collects them or has any they may want to sell......

Hello Charlie, So may ask what do you collect? I am working recreating a 1940's IH Dealership complete with the Sales Counter.....I already have the counter and the shelves behind it done and painted in IH colors....I also have the original wording from an old IH dealer: IH International McCormick Deering Parts & Service for above and behind the Sales Counter these are wooden letters.

Hay Kevin, you got to look up or get in touch with Mr Paqquet, at the Buffalo Nickle Ranch, near Leesberg Florida , he got one, it's just like walking back into the 1950's. He's got old cream seperators , all the things you would expect there.

I guess you could say I collect Red Power magazines - I have every copy they printed. I'm into collecting tractors - I have 10 of the old Farmalls. Nothing bigger than an M and only a couple newer than 1955. Couple of them are from the 30's. I do have some IH horse drawn equipment I play with, an IH baler, corn picker, disk, corn planter, mowing machine, couple of steel wheel hay rakes, all IH. My fun is getting them into working condition and taking them to the field so nothing is show room, just good shape mechanically. I used to farm 30 acres as a hobby but now with my sons out of the house and in my 60's I'm just doing enough field work to play with the toys and grow a couple of crops to feed the hand full of animals I have.

I have a friend that farms near McCeary Manitoba...east of you, I am his shipping point for what he buys in the usa. Is there much old horse drawn equipment in your area? Do you know what a Push Header or Push Binder is? Are there any of them around? Do you think that early 40's tractor farming magazines are hard to find because of world war II and they printed fewer copies or maybe they didn't print any....or they where used for other purposes because paper was scarce? Are early canadain ones hard to find also? Do you collect other IH stuff too?
Thanks, Kevin

Yes there is some horse drawn equipment around here. Rusting away in the fencerows and old yards. Never heard of a push binder. The only ones I have seen are pulled behind a team of horses or tractor.

The1940s Canadian Tractor Farming issues I have are in 1940, 1941 and later on 1947, 1948 and 1949. I have never seen any from 1942 to 46 but that does not mean they were not made. My collection is not complete by any means. Earlier issues are not easy to find at all. E-Bay is important!

Other things I collect? Trucks, tractors, refrigerators and sales literature. I do not get out much so my collection is not extensive by any means.

Happy New Year!
