Major grinding noise when clutch pushed in. Thanks to ever one I have now split my first tractor. Found couple chunks out of throw out bearing, clutch coming apart and pivot bushing mostly gone. How is the best way to remove what is left of this bushing?

Pivot bushing???????????????????? Do you by chance mean the pilot bearing?? There is a special adaptor made to go on a slide hammer just to pull them. O'Reilly's will rent you one if you do not have one. Since I already had the slide hammer I broke down and bought one not long ago for my slide hammer. Cost me around $17

If you really are referring to the pilot bushing, in the end of the crankshaft, then I have a trick you might try. Not sure about your specific tractor, but this has worked on car engines. Pump the area inside the bushing full of grease, from a grease gun. Use a shaft, or a socket and extension, as close to the hole diameter, as possible. Drive the shaft into the hole with a hammer, and the grease should push the bushing out.

I have removed one by threading a die into it, don't remember the size, but it hit the bottom of hole and pushed the bushing out. There is a website dedicated to the cubs at farmallcub dot com.

If the bushing is as thin as you say, you should be able to collapse it by catching the edge of it with the corner of a sharp chisel, and tapping on the chisel with a hammer. Then you can grab it with some needle nose vise grips and pull it out.

Thanks pilot pivot bearing ( bushing) you can tell i am new at this. But I am enjoying it. Thanks I will let you know how it goes

You got this right. I taped a pocket screw driver right under it. Split and came right out.
I am Waiting on my parts now.
Thanks

fill the bushing with grease - find a shaft that fits the hole somewhat snug and smack it with a hammer-- two or three trys should push it out -- works every time -- Roy
