Farmall 560 Diesel

One of the fuel filter canister cover has developed a leak on the hold down bolt. I looked for a washer or seal on IH and do not see one for my purolator type. What do yall use? I wonder if brass washer will
seal?
Merry Christmas to ya'll!

A close fitting copper washer should seal it. I got rid of the original filters and installed a square Stanadyne clip on square filter assembly on mine, like some AC, JD, Oliver/White tractors use.

Look under 706 tractor with D 282 as they show the gasket there. A slip up on the 560 parts site. May have to do some polishing or straightening on the surface of that filter cover also but any good copper gasket that fits bolt should work. I think the original may be a fiber one though, can't remember for sure.

Dieseltech thanks for posting the picture of your 560. I love it ! There seems to be quite a few 560 haters around but I really like them. To each his own but for me they are a dependable workhorse. I may borrow a few ideas from you. Lee

Wouldn't it be a good idea to have a tall enough exhaust pipe to put the fumes over the roof so you're not breathing them?

I don't breath any exhaust fumes now, pipe goes down in front of the injection pump gear cover, then elbow to the muffler just behind the rear axle and left front tire. I don't want an upright muffler to get in the way when I'm sight seeing.
