Went to the neighbors to have him weld some hooks on my bucket. Things went fine on the way over. Parked in front of his shop, he welded them in place and I got in to leave and clutch went easily all the way in, but clutch would not disengage -- transmission still spinning and I could not get it in hi, lo or reverse. Could start with it in gear. All parts are moving -- clutch pedal, clutch cylinder on flywall and linkages on the side of the transmission under the cab. With clutch pedal pushed all the way in, it would slow, but not stop the transmission. So we rolled it back from his shop so I could start it and get home. As I pulled around his circle driveway, I slowly pushed the clutch in and about half way and that allowed me to shift from high to low and also into reverse. So, am at a loss. Thoughts?

You have something in the clutch and pressure plate it could be parts of the clutch floating around check the clutch bracket and cab mounts

All parts of the external mechanisms on the clutch move as they should... or at least they are moving when one depresses the clutch pedal. The clutch pedal pushes very easy now and it did not move that easily before.

Does it have the clutch bracket on the cab if it does check that back mounting bolts under the floor mat and see if it is not broken or bracket I have had the cab mounts busted so when you push the clutch down the whole cab raises up-and-down on that corner

?You have something in the clutch and pressure plate it could be parts of the clutch floating around? I agree with ihtimmy or at least the first part of his reply. (which should have been its own sentence) To me it sounds like you are the victim of what one of my uncle?s used to call a ?co-inks-sidences? something came lose inside the clutch bell housing and is getting caught in the clutch workings. It?s a coincidence, because the neighbor welding on your tractor had nothing to do with it, just happened to malfunction at that time. My 2 cents worth.

The part about my neighbor welding hooks onto the bucket had nothing to do with it so yep, it was a coincidence. Just know sometimes folks want to know "what we're you doing when it happened." It worked like it should when I drove it to his place.

Cab was not moving that either me or the neighbor noticed last night, but will check the attach points on the clutch pedal and cab and recheck all the linkages under the cab too. Am thinking the internals are more likely the culprit. And yes loaders are not easy on tractors if they are "over-used." This one was used mostly for moving snow 4-5 years before I got it. I've had it two years.

Which could be an indication that pieces parts are wedged in there, the clutch works easier because it's not having to overcome the spring pressure of the pressure plate, but it won't disengage because the miscellaneous pieces part is wedged between the flywheel and disc or disc and pressure plate forcing the disc back against the flywheel. Either way-bummer.

Tractor heading in after first of the year to local fix-it guy. Described the problem and he thinks one of the clutch pads or something has come loose and wedged in the way, pretty much as diagnosed by y'all. Will post once he digs into it. Admit it is awful easy to take a 2350 loader off. Had never done before but searching here found a post that explained it all. YT is a pretty cool place! Thanks to all.

Tractor back from the repair shop. Was the clutch and so it now has a new clutch pad, flywheel, throw-out bearing etc. Works like it should. Thanks for all the replies and suggestions!
