Best tire size for a Farmall H

What would be the best tire size to run on a Farmall H. The Tractor is basically stock. I?m using 12.4 -38 now that are Kelly Springfield with a 45 degree. Not sure if it will have enough power to turn 13.6-38 ? I use the Tractor for plow days and and tractor pulling. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

The original tire was a 10-38 which would be an 11.2 in current designation.
You're already running one size larger than that.
I don't think you'd notice a difference in "power" but the 13.6 would be taller and wider.

12.4 is a perfect size for an H.I put new 11.2 on my H because they were $100 each cheaper. they are too small IMHO.hate em. Wish I'd have spent the extra money and put 12.4s back on it

The 12.4x38 is much closer in size and appearance to the original 10x38 than what the 11.2x38 is. I think the tire manufacturers messed up in the calculations somehow, or maybe someone, somewhere, interpreted it wrong.

i put 15.8's tires on my H and pulled a 3 bottom disk plow in clay to sand and the old H never looked backed.

Mine has 12.4 on it now, I will upsize to 13.6 when replacing. I use it mostly for hay work, so do not need the lugging and want higher road speed.
