Hey guys getting ready to order light switch do I need the 3way or4 have 1948 Farmall C will have 2 lights on bar and one rear also is there a wireing diagram in the archives put new one wire alt on to day that's all the wireing I've done Thanks and Merry Christmas

No need of a 'diagram' for a one wire(GM) alternator.First, completely strip out the old harness, then rewire as described.Simply run one wire from the alt to the amp meter, then to battery at the starter lug. Then run one wire from the amp gauge to the ignition switch, then to the distributor.Done.For lights, unless you just have to have it 'factory correct',a simple on/off-push/pull switch will suffice.Simple, trouble free.I have 5(SH;M;SM;400;Oliver 60) old Farmalls here wired like that, never had a speck of trouble with any of them.I have never understood why everyone seems 'fixated' with the 3 wire alternator and voltage regulator set ups.A one wire system is so much easier(cheaper, too).

Depends on if you want it to look correct or just work. If just work most any on/off switch will work on 12 volts. As for a wiring diagram to hook up the alternator that is simple also just hook it to the amp gauge if you have one or right the battery by way of the starter switch where the battery cable hooks up. Be sure you wire it - ground or you will be replacing the alternator the moment you hook up the battery
