SH front hood bolts

Rebuilding my SH and trying to get the front hood to bolt down properly. None of my manuals specify the proper bolt size for the four attaching bolts. They seem to need fine thread but they don't seem to line up correctly. Anyone know what size is called for?

3/8 fine thread bolt about 1/2-3/4 " long.

I assume you are talking about the grille. The grille attaches to the radiator. If the radiator is not installed correctly, the grille won't fit.

My H had the same problem. I could horse it around time after time and they just never lined up right. I finally took a 3/8 drill and wallered out the holes in the grill, sideways, back and forth, so there's now some slop in there, some oval-shape fore-and-aft to what was a circular-shaped hole. Now the bolts fit up fine, first time.
