Good morning - we are always glad to have a new member on this site. Lots of good advice can be had here. I'm in western NY near Rochester so I
guess once you remove the snow banks we are practically neighbors. I've got a 47 Cub among several other Farmalls. Got mine from our local
railroad museum that was using it with a one point hitch woods mower. It got so they couldn't start it and really didn't need it so I bought it.
Turned out the valves were bad. Got it running, got the mag working again and its a handy little tractor for odd jobs. Good luck with yours.

When our son turned 14 he wanted a
Cub. Found him one on Craigslist
in Kentucky. 800 mile round trip.
Paid $600 for tractor and $125 for
belly mower. He has had it a
little over a year and has cut
tons of grass. Love cubs (and
fords) sorry. Lol Kevin in

Glad to see youth interested in something that doesn't have any technology on it. My son won't even get on anything that doesn't have Ac, power steering, and some kind of monitor.

Hello! I went to Google maps to see where you are, and then looked at the pictures, Beautiful area, you can be proud! My grandfather grew
up in Florence ON, nice area also. He moved to the stated about 1880, not sure why!
 
I live about 150km east of you in Martintown Ont. Used to visit friends there in Carleton Place years ago.
