Shade of Yellow

Wanting to repaint a 1955 International 100. It was originally yellow and someone put a coat of red over it later. You can see the yellow as the red is pealing off. It would appear from the color palette listed on paintref.com that #80315, Apache yellow, would be correct. Thoughts?

Industrial yellows are not standardized across the nation/world. Department of transportation yellows might be standardized in individual states. Jim

i would agree apache yellow for that year of tractor is correct. plus its the best looking yellow! , other than minneapolis moline's prairie gold, which i reaally like.

IH only used ONE shade of yellow on their ag, lawn & garden, and construction equipment, any C/IH dealer should have it in spray cans, quarts, and gallons. #483 or #483-B Federal Yellow. Same color, not sure why the suffix was added, possibly to approve a different supplier?

Don't thin it too much, it doesn't cover near as well as darker colors.
