Fella has an F20 For sale. Has a new mag on it but the rest is rough. Old clothes etc but not bad. Says it runs. I have stopped and looked at this perhaps four months ago and its still sitting there. He wants 1 g for it. it has no leaks and the rad looks good. tires are so so. Whats it worth. I am looking for another project. There is a Century I am also looking at. Just undecided. What do you all think?

If rough means worn chassis bearings and loose steering, it is 400 too much. If just bad paint an modest rust on
straight tin It is OK if you want it. They are not real rare. Jim

For sale for 4 months, and still there? I would offer less and see what happens. The guy probly not to far out of
line. So I wouldn't expect him to come down much. Offer cash and hopefully he gives you a break. These weren't
rare tractors by any means. But honestly, in running condition, is getting harder to find these days. They are not
getting fixed up as much as the letter series are.

I agree that its too high a price. You could probably restore one for less than that and have a better running tractor than that
one! I'm restoring a Farmall regular and I haven't had to put even $200 into it. A lot of the parts in the tractor just needed
touched up and reused since I'd rather use the better old stuff made in the USA rather than the new crap made in china. So if it
were up to me don't buy that one and just restore one that would run better.

I have bought 3 F-20s since spring. One in decent outward condition with engine stuck $500 and two for parts and projects $150 and $300. Spent about $1200 on a complete engine rebuild but i know what i have now. If the F-20 you are looking at has a road gear those are around $500 if you can find a good one. Hope this helps.
