He posts on Facebook. You can instant message him. I think he may also post here from time to time, but not sure...

I'm restoring a 1955 International 100, serial # 566. I referenced Guy's book in our library, "Farmall Hundred Series, 1954-1958." I've included a video: https://youtu.be/5EgZUZ6s8Dg Appendix A, page 130 shows #566 as an International 100. I've included a picture. On page 28 he shows the only picture I have ever seen of an International 100 and the caption says: "The International is pretty rare, although how rare is a bit of a mystery-it was at first a separate model, but later became an option to the Farmall." On page 29 he shows another picture of a Farmall 100 and the caption reads: "...As usual, a variety of options were available--this one has the heavy-duty square-tube front axle and foot accelerator...The major difference between the International 100 and the Farmall is the nameplate." I'm trying to obtain a nameplate for my Farmall. My hood has only 3 pinholes to mount the nameplate (see picture). A recent ebay auction for an International nameplate for a 300-350 has at least 4 pins. So, I'm wondering if I should find a Farmall nameplate or did they make an International nameplate for 3 pins.

The emblems are different sizes for the different tractor models. There are at least 2, and possibly 3 different sized emblems. A 300/350 emblem is much too large for a 100. You need an emblem for a 100.

The International 100 may be so rare that they do not make a reproduction emblem for it. You may need to buy Farmall emblems just to have something there, or keep looking for good used ones.

I think your hood is correct. IF it was a Farmall hood, it should have the hole for the small McCormick emblem, I do believe. Having said that, I searched for a few minutes and could not find the right emblems. Your choices are to use something else International, or keep looking for the right ones. Good luck!!

No small hole noted. Guy just responded to my FB Friend request and I sent him the details. I'll post what he says. Thanks.

Guy Fay says same. With only 134 made over 3 years I will probably need to have one fabricated. Can't imagine I would come across one anytime in the near future.

Give Jeff Foreman (the IH emblem guy) in Indiana a call at (317) 896-1629 (evenings) as he deals in emblems and at times has the really rare ones. Good luck in your search, Hal.

Local library was cleaning out and tossed the Letter Series Tractor book in their discard pile, I got it for a quarter. Happy camper.
