464 Update radiator overflow and ignition timing

Made a lot of progress on IH464 gasser restoration. reconditioned fuel tank is in, new fuel lines, new radiator, fresh paint on the whole machine. All fluids changed out.

Two questions: I test ran it last night and noticed antifreeze pushing out of the overflow tube onto the ground. I filled the radiator to max fill. is this normal?

Also, when I throttled it up to 2300 rpm, it seemed to be missing slightly. I have never timed this motor, can anyone point to timing as an issue for the motor missing at high rpm? how do I time this C175 motor? Other potential solutions or troubleshooting ideas?

Thanks to all- lots of help on this forum!

As for the coolant coming out the over flow yes that is normal you have to remember any thing expands as it get hotter and the coolant is doing just that so there is no room for all of it in the cooling system. So it will take a bit for it to reach the point it need to be to not push some coolant out.

Missing at hi rpms is not timing. From valves not set to bad wires to bad bushing in the dist to bad plugs even the points
