Hello,
Curious about engine size? 113 or 123
I have been researching 1950 C serial number 48413, engine casting 2 22 T, other castings(Transmission cover, torque tube, trans housing and touch control are all March range.
But engine part number is 354898 R1 with number FCM 722 G, serial #48438 on the spot below number 1 cylinder.
This was my grandfathers tractor, I know he did many in frame overalls while farming corn and cotton.
Needing to rebuild engine.
Any help is appreciated.

You will not know what in there till you tear it down all the letters and numbers on the block don't mean anything now. Over the yrs many kits have been on the market so you have no way knowing what you have until tear down then take the measurements of the sleeve and piston
 
Ed, if you scratch around under tank or behind radiator do you see any white paint? your serial # would put it in the range of a
Farmall C Demonstrator.
 
354898R1 is a Super-C engine block. Somewhere along the tractors journey, he must have replaced the engine.
 
it has 370147 R1 pistons in it. with .002 rod bearings
we will be taking sleeve measurements this week.

When we did a plastiguage check on the rod bearings and mains, they showed to be within specs.

Engine had no compression, with some stuck rings, valves are free, but rocker arm had rust on it.

The diameter of the sleeve bore in the bottom of the block is what needs to be determined before ordering replacement kits or sleeve o rings. There are two different dimensions.

We have been looking for any white paint, just in case it was a Demonstrator.
No luck so far.
My grandfather was the second owner that we know of.
We are restoring it.
should have some pics by February or March of it finished.
