450 transmission gearing

are the transmission gears the same in a 450 and a 560 or are they different? I know the rear is faster in 450 but wondering if trans gears are the same.

SMTA, F-400 and F-450 used one set of transmission gears. F-560 had options. Some were the same as a 450 but different standard and optional gears in a 560 could change all but second gear ratio if I remember correct. 560 had what was called high speed first and reverse but was really the same ratio as a 450. 560 also had a heavy tillage 3rd gear that was the same as a 450. Standard 560 gears in a 450 result in a slower ground speed first and a faster third and fourth. Played around with the gears in the past to get a slower craw speed in the SMTA-450 but that results in a slow reverse if needing to do a lot of backing. 560 ring and pinion also in a SMTA-450 but with that and the faster 560 fourth, fourth is still a lower ground speed than a 450 fourth. Also slower 5th. Works better with oversize rear tires unless you want slow most of the time.
