M oil pan

Hello. I have to replace a damaged oil pan on my M. Will a pan from a MD or SM or a 400 fit? Are they the same pan? Thanks for any help, John.

No they will not.

M, SM, SMTA, early 400, 400 and 450 that were built for distillate or kerosene. Also some replacement pans IH sold. Most 400 and 450 don't have openings for the petcocks to check oil. If you happen to have a dipstick added to engine block all those will work. Diesels won't work.

How is it damaged? bent/dented? just pound it back out. A few little 'wrinkles' wont hurt a thing.Hole in it,braze it shut.BTDT.........
