10 20 orchard pictures

A fellow in our tractor club recently passed away and his family had a sale and I was able to buy this 1929 10 20 orchard. My son and I got it started it today. This is my son driving it is made for a short man not for a guy 6 7. I have the engine and outside wheel covers to paint and install. This is my seventh orchard tractor. The red arm is a early shaker for nut crops. Steve

Neat! Tell us more about that shaker, maybe a close-up picture. Never heard of one. What else distinguishes it as an orchard tractor?

So is that a California tractor, and picture ?? It's a corn, soybean, spring wheat, area here !

Another tell-tale orchard feature is the shortened steering shaft. Normal 10-20s steering wheel ended up above the fuel tank and would get caught in branches.

The shaker runs of the belt pulley shaft on a off center bearing that makes the red bar move back and forth. There is another part that went around the tree limb that I don't have. The orchard model has a shorter steering and air clearer and I also have the outside rear wheel covers. Steve
