Adding a fast hitch to a smta

I’m thinking of adding a fast hitch to my mta. I think they didn’t come from the factory with one on, but it could be a dealer add on. Would a fast hitch from a 450 work on the mta? Thanks
 
There are bosses and tapped holes missing from the tractor that require configuring brackets and reinforcement to be strong. Looking at the 450 trans case will tell you what you need to do to adapt it. Bolt on, no. doable yes with either money or fabrication skills. jim
 
Gee, i put mine on without any fabrications, bolted right up, but do you have a extra hyd port to control it? I had a 3 hyd valves on mine so it worked good !!
 
Fast hitch with traction control will bolt on with no problem. SMTA, 400 and 450 use the same transmission housing. Transmission cover is different on a SMTA, so doesn't have all the attaching points for fast hitch without traction control. Some fabricate them to work though.

I installed a Fast Hitch onto my SMTA a number of years ago, It came off a 450 if I remember correctly. I had added a 3 spool valve to run the loader, and had 1 spool for the hitch.

I installed a fast hitch from a 560 on my SMTA this summer. It was fast and easy. The fast hitch on my 450 is almost identical and would also bolt up. The tel-a-depth designs are different but would not prevent installation. The 400 fast hitch, considered to be better, is not compatible with an SMTA without the 400 transmission cover or a fair bit of fabrication work. I have only one set of outlets and "Christmas Tree" valve on this tractor, so have power up and down on hitch but I would have to pin the hitch in the stationary position if hydraulics were needed for an implement.
 
Super mta never had a fast hitch from
factory and the hitched used in the 400
would not work on a super mta unless entire
transmission cover was changed. A hitch off
a 450 would just fine.
