Fuse size for Farmall 504 lights

What size fuse should be in a Farmall 504 dash? Right now there is a 15 amp fuse but that seems too big to me and the fuse holder got warm tonight when I was running with the lights on. Thanks in advance.

The whole lighting systems on these old tractors are barely adequate for two headlights and one tail light when new, so it's not surprising things are getting hot after 50 years of corrosion and vibration have taken their toll.

Consider upgrading the lights to LED. This cuts the power consumption and things won't get so hot.
