I have a cub with a 4' belly mower made by IH. You have to cut in 1st gear in thick grass but you can go to 2nd if it is not too tall. I t is pretty slow. I mow about an acre in 1 1/2 hours. It does give a superb cut but I think that you need something with more horsepower to pull a larger mower.

Hello,
My 55 cub came with a brush hog, and it works well. You can still buy new one's from Woods but they are kind of pricy.

The best you are going to do is a mott or flail mower and you wont be able to cut the trees that people like to brush hog.

You need more tractor than a Cub if you are going to work 22 acres. Get a Super A or a C as the minimum. A cub is too weak to pull a bush hog of any size. The older cubs were only 10 or 12 PTO HP. I don't think the newer ones were more than about 15.

The cub seems kind of small for what you want to do. Did you consider buying an A or super A? The cub pto turns in the oposite direction and at a different RPM than normal a pto. This means that all pto driven implaments are made special for the cub. The A has a standard pto and more horsepower than the cub.

Hi

Not sure but I don't think the cub has enough horse power to pull a bush hog. I might be wrong.
