Looking for advice here on what to expect. Neighbor ask me to finish project he started years ago. His eyes are now really bad and I like a good puzzle. He started to get the green in the oil, liners were leaking so he tore the engine partially apart. Fifteen years later, forced retirement from bus driving, needs tractor for his orchards, enter stage left, myself. I am going to move the tractor to my small garage to work on I at least have a concrete pad. I have miked the crank journal and they around and in tolerance, actually on the upper end and amazingly no rust. The is engine number is 239DT ?0081828. The quest mark I am unsure of may be a 2. Are there different variations of this motor that I need to be concerned about or will any kit do? I did read something about o-ring diameter but will that matter with new liners? I know the post is long, but I want to make sure I do this right for him, he is the water master after all
