Super c wiring

Hello. I have a farmall super c that was wired for a 12 volt system with a regular alternator but still has a 6volt starter. It has run like this for 30 yrs. I need a new starter. Is there a 12 volt starter or should I stick with the 6 volt?

Just got done doing this. Sent my 6 volt one in last week and had it upgraded to 12 volt after it got fried. Cost $162.00 to do it. I am in central Kansas.

i would have the one that is cheaper. the 6 has done you good for 30 yes, so maybe you will get another 30

Got a 6 volt for 107. Gonna stick with it. It has some sort of resistor or regulator that gets super hot by the alternator. Is this part of the 12 volt system? I was told that it is because when it was converted that you could not cut the tractor off.
