3pt on hitch

I bought an INT 300 utility tractor. It looks to have a 3pt set on the original hitch. on my other tractors the lower arms moves back in forth and have plenty of room to hook up the 3pt attachment. These arms don't seem to sway like that. there doesn't seem to be any room to hook up a 3pt blade unless you remove the arms and then slide them back in. so am I missing something. Never had any 3pt like this. comments please.

Yep that is one of the problem with trying to use a Farmall fast hitch to 3 point they do not open up like the Ford ones do so can be hard to hook up

What you are experiencing is 'normal' on fast hitch tractors with 3 point adapters/'prongs'. a fast hitch is set rigid at 28" apart. No 'sway' was the way it was. Just get used to it.I farmed for years with a fast hitch 706.Got to where I knew just how far to back up to pull the prongs and hook to implement and not drop the point out of the socket. Then back into the implement. With practice, you will too.

Find the kind of lower arms that have a locking top on them. Like the original IH 2 to 3 point adapter then all you do is back up and lift ,then lock the top down and your done.

I did notice these have the sliding arms like you say. guess I will have to get use to it. Thanks

I kind of liked that better, like Delta said, back up close, unlatch the arms, pull them out far enough to hook up. Then get on the tractor, back up until they latch. On some new tractors that is an expensive option.

Simple fix --- get a set of points, weld an eyeball to each, put these new points onto the implement and put the jesus clips on the pins. Then back close enough to drop the points into the Fast Hitch Receiver. Back up onto the points.

Yes! I had that style on an 856. Works just like a quick-attach.
