Norden axle

Replace repack seals and such on wide front Norden Axle on Super M. On the bottom of the vertical spindle I thought there would be a seal. Wish there was. But I don't know what this is with like pins in it. It doesn't appear to spin like a bearing. Should it be replaced? Can I put a seal here too?

Also any tips on getting steering arm off top of spindle. Have used heat 3 times on one side.

That is a thrust bearing and is needed, and it needs to rotate between top to bottom. No seal as the grease from the spindle works down into the thrust bearing. Can't help on the steering arm, have not seen a norden for a while.
