So since this 584 burnt the dash is gone. Been running it by starting it with a wire from the solenoid to the battery to start it. I shut it don by pulling the shut down part on the injector pump by hand. I want to make some sort of dash so I can mount some sort of ignition switch for starting it and also for exciting the alternator. Plus have some place to mount the shut off cable to. Plan is to use a universal choke cable for the shut down.

I would use a piece of plexiglass. it is easy to cut and drill. Placing the components where you need to. once made, and found to do the job, a stainless 14 gauge sheet could be fabricated and the plexi used as a template. Jim

Why don?t you try the salvage yards Why do you want to It right why Kabal it I like to see pictures of this tractor

No salvage yards around me to find such things. Plus trying to make this a working tractor with out spending much on it to do so. As for pictures this is a new computer and I do not have any way to down load pictures to it and I do not have a scanner either

Ya and that is $150 I do not have to put into this at this time. I need to fix it so I can use it with out spending as lot of $$ in doing so

Why cant you fabricate something out of 'tin'? Wont be pretty, but will get the job done.I figure if anyone can figure it out,you can! :)

Biggest problem will be how to make it fit and bolt on. I know I will have to do a bend to it but I do have a home made metal break so I should be able to do the bend. Then the fun of cutting holes for things. At this time I will not do a hole for a tack since the drive parts for the tack burned

Rich, are you going to use gauges? Or idiot lites? I think all they came with was coolant temperature gauge, and lights for alt and oil.You really don't need a tach, unless you do pto work. You could get by with a toggle for on/off and wire it to a push button start button, and then the alternator.I would wire the starter button thru a 5 pin Bosch relay, then to the solenoid. That may be factory, come to think of it.What to use for a panel is hard to say.The factory panel is bolted to the hood, and the side plastic panels and probably some brackets, all of which are needed to support it.Now me being me,I would buy all the parts needed at a salvage yard, because I like things to be 'right'. I would have enjoyed working on such a project.
Also wondering if you got the brakes working, and bled out.Mark

In the future I do plan to have a temp gauge and amp gauge and oil pressure gauge. Tack drive melted down so it would take a good bit the fix that. Ya maybe in the future I'll get the correct dash if I can find one. Nearest salvage place to me is around 100 miles away.
As for the brake they sort of work. I have them hooked up with out the reisvore (sp) I just ran the brake line off the oil cooler line then to a 4 outlet pipe that was part of the old system. 2 lines to the brake masters one line to the cooler line and then the 4th line capped off. I have not bled the brake but they seem to be working at least good enough that I can use them to slow down and also to stop one tire form spinning when I am using the loader.
This tractor did not cost me any thing so fixing it is going to be on going. Got cold last night and may just for the heck of it see how hard it might be to start with out any starting aid.

Have you thought about making a cardboard template and using fiberglass cloth and resin to fabricate one??? Might work.

I've never done much with fiber glass so not sure how well that would work.
