IH 986 Turbo

I've got a 986 with a remanufactured SRC 436 and want to set it up with a turbo. Could I just find the setup from a salvage yard off a 1486, anything else I should know about doing this? Thanks

Get air cleaner and all the hoses manifold turbo exhaust elbow intake elbow or pipe Get the whole assembly it?s easy to put on

Get a muffler eliminator if you can and find a 3LM 466 turbo then you will have the best combo

Yeah I just put a TR4 turbo You don?t need that bigger turbo leave the fuel setting like it is you?ll like the fuelEconomy you got a remember the 986 is not a big tractor they have a will live a long time but you can get the horsepower out of him but now days you don?t need it that?s why they make bigger tractors

The 986 is my planting, sprayer, and rake tractor. Not looking to turn it up any, I've got a 1486 for my heavier work. 986 has been a solid tractor for a long time for me
