Square head bolts

One thing I have done is grind off two opposing points on a 6 point bolt. Then the bolt head will fit down into the recess of the 4 point."corect"? NO. But it works, and a whole bunch cheaper. And 99% of people will never notice.

BTW,when you install the new bolts, lubricate with Anti-sieze compound. They will never rust up and damage/destroy threads again.Removal will be easy next time. I use the stuff frequently.Especially on bolts that come in contact with dirt.

some tell me that there is a difference in anti seize products. feller said that the gray stuff is no good use the copper kind.

We always use the copper stuff on anything heat related, spark plugs, water pump, manifolds, and just a dab on head bolts. Silver stuff for everything else.
