D-282 injection nozzle assembly

I have a D-282 where a previous owner broke a glow plug down inside the injection nozzle assembly when trying to remove the glow plug. I took the assembly off to get out the rest of the glow plug. See photos below...in the first photo, is the damaged small round piece of metal sticking out from the assembly the remains of the glow plug? And is it possible to open up the nozzle body to remove the rest of the glow plug?

Photo 2: I did not keep track of the orientation of the slanted passage at the bottom of the precombustion chamber. Which way should it face with respect to the engine?

As always, thanks for the help.

As Kevin said, pre cup is marked. Look on the outside and find UP and put it in at twelve O'clock position. Hopefully the rest of the plug can be removed to save the body..

Well what a job it was to get the remains of the glow plug out! It had broken in the middle of the threads, so I had to drill/tap the rest of the threaded part out, and of course I broke the tap in it, so I had to blow the broken tap out with the torch. Then the rest of the glow plug wouldn't come out, so I had to heat the injector body up to loosen it.

Always these jobs you think will take an hour wind up taking all morning.
