Farmall C Wiring Pictures

Guys,

I am working on restoring a farmall c. I am looking for some pictures of how the wiring is run on the tractor itself. Looking for in particular:
Battery cable to frame
Wiring to mag
Wiring to rear light

Trying to stay original as possible.

I have a pull type starter, 6v system with mag and generator.

Thanks

grounding the pos terminal to the battery box where it fastens to the steering post is not a good place best is to run it to one of the mounting bolts that holds the starter to the bell housing

My 53 Super C should be close. The battery ground cable is supposed to be inside the batt. box. It's a short flat braided cable bolted through one of the holes in the top rear of box into the gauge/ light stand box. It passes through too many connections to make a good ground for very long, so I bolted mine to a bolt with a stud on the end on my gas tank mount. Think my owners manual has wiring pictures too. This doesn't have a mag and I'm not sure which side your rear light goes on, this has a Fast hitch.

Gab, if I am looking at the pictures correctly, you have the taillight on the drivers side with the fast hitch. On my Super C with the fast hitch, the taillight is on the passenger side. I would the think the way you have it, when the cylinder is fully extended, it would block the light? My taillight shines at an angle to the center of tractor and whatever implement I am pulling. Just an observation.

This one didn't have any lights or the rear brkt. when I bought it. It did have the wire supports on the left side. I didn't go through all the Super C stuff I got but I can't find one light on the right. Possibly if your serial # is 189457 and higher you might have a case.

I see the difference now. The light in all your pictures is mounted to the tool box with a bracket. Mine is mounted in a hole in the transmission cover that your feet rest on. The wiring routing looks just like yours only it is on the other side. Thanks for the pictures. Also, where did you get the model? I have been trying to find one for the last few years. I have ran into a couple vendors at the state fair who all say they are rare because of the tricycle front end which mine has.

I ordered the model from something in Red Power mag. I think. It's a 1999 Lafayette Farm Toy show limited edition. Tonight is the first time it's been out of the box since 1999.

The rear light was on the left side of the toolbox up to about the end of 1953 production. For 1954 production the location was changed to the right side of the toolbox. Our 1952 Super C had the light on the left and our neighbors 1954 Super C had it on the right side.

I also have a 54 Super-C with the rear light on right side,it has always been there since my Dad bought it used around 1957,it is also fast hitch!
