Brake adjustment on a 100

My 100 I bought this year has a ton of travel on the brake pedals. I can't find my I & T book with the 100 in it but my book for an A says 1 inch of travel on the pedal. I'm assuming the 100 is the same and mine has about 4 inches of travel. The pedals are at the end of their possible travel but I do have enough brake to stop. My question is will it be possible to adjust out the slop or are the brakes worn enough to need new ones or is it a combination of both. I don't know how much travel is removed with a little adjustment and adjustment is way easier than changing the brakes. The clevis's are currently turned in enough to just have the end of the rod coming out of the threaded hole. If its worth an adjustment I'm planning on giving it a try this year but if it needs brakes that's a job for next year. The pins are stuck in the clevis's so what ever I do is going to require some heat.

should be the same as farmall A , As you said heat pins. Hard to say on travel as you can't see how worn the pads are.

you will probably have to free up everything anyway. so why not now and give adjustment a try. 50 % acetone and 50 % automatic transmission is a good penetrating oil. it does not store for long time, so just make up what you use for now.

That's what I expected. Going to do seals as well since it will be torn apart. I'll add the parts to my winter shopping list for spring time. I have to work outdoors and with winter not too far off so I'm waiting for spring.
