When working on these old tractors sometimes you twist a bolt off. In places where you cant get a wrench on the nut they have put some sort of a nut inside a piece that apparently you can use a pair of pliers to install the outer shell that has a nut inside of it so the nut will not turn and therefore you can tighten the bolt. Anyone know what there called and where to get them. thanks norm

Should be still available through the dealership, what model are you working with,?

Or google, "Floating cage nut", or "Grip cage nut", or "Panel nut retainer".

I am working on an international 404. I need about 1/2 dozen of those things. some we already missing and couple I broke off. thanks for the info.

I needed cage nuts for my 1086 and found that the three dealers around me had only one or two or none and had to order them ---5 in a package. They are NOT cheap --from 3-almost 6 dollars each!! One thing is for sure though -- they are the ONLY nut that can be used in some areas -- such as the cab floor on my 1086 since access from under is impossible.
