Lift All Hose Connection

I purchased a 1944 Farmall H with a Freeman ?80? loader installed on it. The loader has a hydraulic cylinder on each side of it. The right cylinder hose is attached to the right lift all port on the right side of the tractor and the left cylinder hose is attached to the left rear lift all port on the left side of the tractor. Recall that there are two ports on the left side of the tractor. Should the left hose be attached to the left front port instead of the rear port? Would this make both sides of the loader lift more evenly?

Both sides would lift the same, but left rear and one on right have a different check valve to release pressure. Use front left.

Not a myth. The inline valve you mention is a one way restrictor that delays the lift so the implement rear lifts in sequence with the fronts to approximate the same place at the
end of a row. The lowering times are staged as D Slater indicates by internal check valve differences. Jim

I agree delayed lift is a myth. Many people believe the delay lift is in the pump when it is not. As you said, it is a special attachment, fitting, and not standard equipment. Fact is I have never seen one except in parts manual. Had hundreds of those pumps apart. The delay that is standard is the drop as like said, a separate check valve that opens after the other check valve due to the way linkage in pump is designed. Takes a feeeeeeeeely hand though to feel that check valve as you move lever forward to drop implement. We never had a delay lift on either of our two H Farmalls with front mounted cultivators on them and just dropped front and rear pretty much at the same time.
