IH 400 front bolster question

I am looking for a Farmall 400 row crop lower bolster #358969R1. All the aftermarket companies say their later 806 etc type #383909R4 will work but my customer says no. Does anybody know for sure?

Will bolt up I bet, but you have to consider what hubs and rims you have. 806 is 6 bolt, 400 would be 3 bolt.

I'm not talking complete front axle. Will he newer bolster work on the 400 center tube?

My 806 came with 11.00 x 16, 8 bolt wheels.

I've been told that the center tube is essentially the same from the first "tie rods behind the axle" IH wide front up through the 56 series.

Can't say for sure, never used the aftermarket ones. Aftermarket including YT lists the pivot bolster number you posted as fitting 560, 460 ETC. Those tractors used the same pivot bolster as a 400 and others, same center tube also.
