I have a farmall 656, it has a gas motor and has been a good tractor. Kids playing in barn turned on the lights and it was dead when I got home from work. After I jump started it, it has a
squeal from the front end and it goes away at very low rpms but once I throtle up the squeal comes back. Before this it would squeal for 10-20 seconds on start up but the squealing would go
away. Now it wont go away. It got dark and I couldnt see well enough to keep investigating. Where should I start tomorrow as far as diagnosing the sound? any thoughts or advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

tighten the alternator belt. rule of thumb... if you can turn the pully as it is its too loose. its not like a generator that will charge with a loose belt. alternator needs the belt tight or she will slip under load.
