400 diesel rebuild kit

I have a farmall 400 diesel and it needs to be rebuilt. however i cannot find a rebuild kit for it anywhere i look i can only find rebuild kits for 400 gassers no diesels so if some one could please post a link or something of where I can get a 400 diesel rebuild kit that would be great or if they don't make a rebuild kit for 400 diesels could someone let me know

I'm not aware of any 'kit' for those engines. I think many of the parts are available individually from several sources but no one puts a kit together. Hold on to your wallet before you look at prices - they're spendy. Good luck, Sam
 
Noone sells a "kit", sleeves,pistons and rings will run you over $2500, figure around $600 for rod and main bearings, $600 for top and bottom gasket set, and $800 in valve train components. Not to mention machining costs.
 
There are either good used, or NOS pistons to be had. I would try calling Bates Equipment in Burbon Indiana. ans discuss the options. They may know of a source. Sleeves can be had from LA Sleeve in California. They will need to be called and discussion held. Nothing associated is inexpensive. Jim
 
I got most all of the parts needed to rebuild my SMD from PowerMax tractor parts in 2011 or 2012. I believe they may have been bought out by Reliance.
